On the hunt..

More fanart of whats her name from the Hyrule warriors art book thing. After doing some reading it turns out shes actually suppose to be sister like :/. Which kinda makes me sad, because honestly; it'd make more sense as to why she dresses like him if she was his daughter. But, whatever. Either way I gotta say whoever thought up of her knows what LOZ needs. Now I know that you may say shes unoriginal or that she looks like a fan character or a rule 63 fanart. I'm not gonna disagree with any of that either. Just let me clarify, LOZ is a game where the main protagonist is made to be more of a blank slate so he can be the hero you want him to be or in other words you. For some people being forced to be a character of the opposite gender  or one you don't associate yourself with can keep you from getting that immersed experience of being the hero. I know that to some that sounds silly. They also usually try to think of every excuse in the book not to. But, in this modern time they really have no excuse. Honestly, I'm glad we have games like hyrule warriors coming out that actually have the balls to have a straight down the middle choices between women and men. I mean I'm not gonna sit here and glorify every design choice they are making. I honestly could rant on about that too. Just let me get to my conclusion here. For developers and those of you who are thinking: they aren't going to do it because then Link wouldn't be Link anymore. I believe with all thats be done with link so far (tuned him into a wolf, and also every kind of species through masks, dark shadow version, toon link, possibly dead link, wall link, 4 links ect.) it can't be that far fetched that there would be a girl? I'm not saying that zelda needs to be a guy or that she needs to be playable. This isn't about zelda. This is about being able to feel more immersed in a game by getting the simple choice of choosing your gender. I'd like to believe that that really isn't too much to ask.
